Create a Chart

After your data has been cleaned and wrangled, you can start to create data products, such as charts and graphs. The available charts, plots, and graphs are known collectively as visualizations.

You can quickly create the following charts with the Plot skill:

  • Bar
  • Box
  • Bubble
  • Donut
  • Heatmap
  • Histogram
  • Horizontal Bar
  • Line
  • Scatter
  • Stacked Bar

From the Sidebar

To get started, click the Plot button from the sidebar. Then:

  1. Select the type of chart or plot you want to create.
  2. Select the columns you want to use as your axes and other parameters such as bubble size, bubble color, or overlay.
  3. Select any other options, such as a column to group the values by, whether to create subplots, or a slider.
  4. Click Submit.

From the Chat Box

Optionally, you can also use the chat box to create your plot, graph, chart, or matrix:

  1. Enter Plot a and select the plot, chart, graph, or matrix you want to create.
  2. Use the autocomplete suggestions to configure your axes, sliders, and any other options you need to complete your chart.

For example, consider a dataset called "Titanic" that contains the following data about each passenger:

  • Age. Their age.
  • Gender. Their gender.
  • Name. Their name.
  • PClass. Their class.
  • Survived. Whether they survived the disaster.

To create a scatter chart from the "Titanic" dataset comparing the age of the passengers with their fare, grouped by their gender, and sliding by their class, enter: Plot a scatter chart with the x-axis Age, the y-axis Fare, for each Gender, and sliding by Pclass. The resulting scatter chart looks like this:
