Load Data

Ava supports the following file types:

• Comma-separated values (.csv)
• Excel (.xlsx)
• JavaScript Object Notation (.json)
• ZIP archives (.zip)
• TAR archives (.tar)

Ava provides two ways to load data, either by clicking Files from the sidebar, or by opening a New Conversation.

From the Sidebar

To load in data from the sidebar, click the Files button, then:

1. Click Upload File.

2. Either drag and drop your file, or browse your local machine.

   

3. Once uploaded, you can then use the file in your conversations.

Once you've started using DataChat, the files list populates with your commonly used files.

Opening a New Conversation

To load in data by opening a new conversation, click New Conversation, then:

1. Under Upload Files, either drag and drop your file, or browse your local machine.

2. Optionally, you can instead select a previously uploaded file from My Files.

3. Click Load into conversation.

   

If the window closes without any loaded data, you can click the Load Data button to reopen the window.
