Introduction
The Ask tool lets you enter freeform questions about your data. Ask uses generative AI to produce insights based on your question and also provides you with the GEL steps it took to get those insights. In this section, we’ll cover everything you need to know about Ask.
Monthly Limits
By default, DataChat LLM credentials provide you with a set limit of questions you can ask per month. To increase your limit, you can upgrade your subscription tier or create your own LLM connection.

To view your current usage, navigate to the billing page by clicking user avatar > Billing > Usage and Statistics. From here, you can see your count of ask requests and request limits.
